With the new RADARPOINT300 SYSCO have dev-eloped a completely new solution for open area security. Securing and monitoring large open areas with these discretely located devices, which can cover all areas in question, can be achieved in a cost eﬀ ec-tive fashion compared to the expenditure required using other wide area monitoring technologies.

The new devices invisibly monitor large open areas allowing potential intruder locations to be identified exactly. The modern software permits precise setting of detection parameters dependent on size, direction, position and speed. The smart housing can be easily installed using a VESA mount on poles, facades or other objects.
Several interfaces are available to enable the devices to be assimilated into an integrated security infrastructure. The electronics can interface into the security system e.g. directly via LAN-Network, or by RS485 data line.
For smaller installations the radar electronics can of course be connected individually. The two provided potential-free signal contacts can be used as alarm outputs, or in networked systems to control external devices. In addition, the RADAR Point evaluation unit is equipped with four monitored inputs for external contacts (such as gate contacts, IR-beams etc.).
Parameterisation of the RADAR Point system can be via the above data interfaces or through a USB connection. A plug-in WLAN-Stick is available on request, allowing the parameterisation to be conveniently performed wirelessly.
